No. 19 Women's Tennis Host No. 4 Vanderbilt

BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s tennis team will conclude its home weekend when the Tigers host No. 4 Vanderbilt at noon CT on Sunday at the LSU Tennis Complex.

The Matchup

The Commodores have a 28-14 advantage in the series. When the teams met last season at the Currey Tennis Center in Nashville, Vanderbilt defeated the Tigers, 4-0.

Tiger Tidbits 

The Tigers are 12-5 overall and 2-3 in SEC play on the season after falling to No. 21 Kentucky in a 4-3 thriller on Friday at the LSU Tennis Complex.


No. 15-ranked sophomore Eden Richardson leads the Tigers at the No. 1 singles with an 8-4 record. Sophomore Taylor Bridges has notched the most wins in the dual season with 12.


In doubles, the nation’s No. 3 duo of Richardson and senior Jessica Golovin lead the Tigers at with a 9-3 record on court one.

Notes on Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt is ranked No. 4 in this week’s ITA/Oracle rankings. The Commodores are 9-4 and 4-1 in SEC play following a 4-2 loss to Texas A&M on Friday in College Station.


Vanderbilt is led in singles play by two players in the ITA/Oracle Top-10, No. 3 Fernanda Contreras at the No. 1 singles and No. 8 Christina Rosca at the No. 2 singles. In doubles, Vanderbilt has two ranked pairs. Contreras and Summer Dvorak are the No. 30-ranked doubles pair, while Rosca and Georgia Drummy check in at No. 51.
