ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 24 LSU men’s tennis team will travel to No. 34 Georgia for a match against the Bulldogs Saturday at noon CT in the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Thoughts from the Co-Head Coach Chris Brandi
“Georgia is the SEC heavyweight in tennis over the last 50 years, and it’s fun to get a chance to play in Athens. Both teams are coming off tough losses on Thursday. We need to find ways to play our game in the important moments.”

The Matchup
Georgia has the overall 52-18 advantage in the series. The teams last met last season in Baton Rouge when the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers, 4-0.

Tiger Tidbits
The Tigers have spent three-straight weeks in the top-25 and are 12-3 on the year and 1-2 in the SEC.

Last time out, LSU fell to Tennessee in a heartbreaking 4-3 match at the LSU Tennis Complex. The Tigers secured the doubles point with wins on courts two and three and taking singles matches on Boris Kozlov and Joey Thomas.

Shane Monroe is the No. 112 singles player in the nation, and court one pair Rafael Wagner and Joey Thomas are the No. 43 duo.

Malik Bhatnagar has a team-best 12 wins on the dual season and has an 11-2 record on court three.

Notes on the Bulldogs
Georgia is 5-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. The Bulldogs dropped their match in College Station Thursday against No. 28 Texas A&M, 4-3.

The Bulldogs have three players ranked in ITA singles: NO. 10 Jan Zielinski, No. 20 Emil Reinberg and No. 95 Phillip Henning.

Robert Loeb and Zielinski are No. 65 and have maintained the top court.
