Women's Tennis to Host Houston

BATON ROUGE – The No. 16-ranked LSU women’s tennis team will return home for a weekend match against Houston on Sunday, February 17 at noon CT at the LSU Tennis Complex. 

Admission to all matches in the LSU Tennis Complex is free. Fans can also follow the match at www.LSUstats.com and on Twitter @LSUWTen. The matches will also be streamed online at LSUsports.net. 

The Matchup LSU will face the Cougars for the 18th time in program history. The Tigers have a 15-2 record against Houston and defeated them at home in 2017, 4-1, the last time that they met up. 

Tiger Tidbits 

The Tigers jumped up two places in the latest ITA rankings to earn the No. 16 spot. 

LSU is 6-2 overall and undefeated at home, sweeping Rice and Southern before traveling to ITA National Team Indoor Championships last week in Seattle. The Tigers boast players in the ITA rankings with sophomore Eden Richardson at No. 19 in singles and at No. 6 in doubles with senior Jessica Golovin

The Purple and Gold will continue their six-game homestand with Old Dominion on Friday, February 22 at 4 p.m. CT. 

Notes on the Opponents Houston is 5-2 overall heading into the match up with LSU. 

The Cougars are 0-2 on the road.
