Women's Tennis Moves to No. 16 in Latest Polls

BATON ROUGE—The LSU women’s tennis team placed No. 16 in the latest ITA/Oracle Collegiate Tennis poll and in the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 rankings released on Wednesday.

“Even though we have higher goals, I’m thrilled our team is being rewarded for their continued hard work, commitment to our Tiger Culture, and staying united throughout each obstacle we have on the court,” co-head coach Michael Sell said. “Being in the Top 16 is where LSU should always thrive to be and in the conversation to compete for championships which is where we are at. We are ambitious and excited to compete again on Sunday.”

LSU is 6-2 overall after competing in the Round of 16 at the ITA National Indoor Team Championships over the weekend in Seattle.

The Tigers will be back at home for their next six matches. LSU will square off against Houston on Sunday, February 17 at noon CT at the LSU Tennis Complex. Admission is free.
