Week Six Gymnastics Report

BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team remained at No. 5 in the sixth edition of the RoadToNationals.com rankings.

The Tigers have now ranked in the top-five of the rankings for 34-straight weeks. LSU (3-3, 1-3 SEC) owns a team average score of 196.850 and a season-high team score of 197.450 on the road at Alabama.

National rankings are based on a team’s overall season average for the first few weeks of the season before switching to the regional qualifying score (RQS).

In addition to the team rankings, LSU is also fourth on vault and beam, seventh on bars and eighth on floor.

Senior Sarah Finnegan is ranked seventh overall in the all-around with an average score of 39.612 and high of 39.700. Finnegan owns top-15 rankings on all four events, highlights by the No. 5 rankings on beam and floor.

The Tigers will return to competition for a double weekend beginning Friday at the GymQuarters Invitational in St. Charles, Missouri. The squad will then return home to face Missouri at 2:30 p.m. Sunday inside the Maravich Center.
