Women's Tennis 2019 Recruiting Class Ranked No. 13

BATON ROUGE — LSU women’s tennis co-head coaches Julia Sell and Michael Sell are excited to announce today that the LSU recruiting class of 2019 has been ranked No. 13 in the country by tennisrecruiting.net.

The 2019 class showcases another impressive recruiting year for the Sells, who have continued to strengthen the women’s tennis program at LSU.

The new Tigers, Safiya Carrington and Maggie Cubitt, will arrive on campus and be instant contributors to a squad that will have two seniors graduate at the end of this season.

“We are thrilled to have Safiya and Maggie join our Tiger Family next season,” said co-head coach Michael Sell. “They will make an immediate impact on our team, fit in perfectly to our Tiger culture and in addition, they are both tremendous people. We can’t wait for them to arrive on campus.”

The Tigers are currently 6-0 on the season and have secured a spot in the National Team Indoor Championships for the second time in program history.
