LSU Hoops to Hold Public Practice Prior to Football
BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball team will be on display prior to Saturday’s LSU-Georgia football game as they practice on the floor of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center from noon to 12:55 p.m. CT.
The event will be held as part of the Tiger Tailgate Party sponsored by People’s Health. Coach Will Wade will address the crowd and the team will go through various drills. The Tiger Tailgate Party is hosted by the Tiger Athletic Foundation.
While the event is part of the normal pregame Tiger Tailgate Party, the general public can enter the event at no charge at one of two points of entrance for the open practice – the Southwest Ramp (closest to Mike’s Habitat) or the Northwest Stairs (on the Bernie Moore Track side of the PMAC). The Clear Bag policy will be in effect for the open practice inside the Maravich Center.
Beverages and food are available for purchase inside the Maravich Center during the practice and Tiger Tailgate Party. Fans will be allowed to stay in the Maravich Center for a performance by the Golden Band from Tigerland immediately following the practice at 1 p.m.
Season tickets are on sale for the 2018-19 season. Visit www.LSUtix.net or call the LSU Athletics Ticket Office at (225) 578-2184. The Tigers open the 2018-19 season on Tuesday, Nov. 6, against Southeastern Louisiana at 7:30 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader with the LSU women’s team in the opener.
