Johnson Makes Qualifying Round of the ITA All-American
PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.—LSU women’s tennis senior Kennan Johnson will move on to the qualifying round of singles play in the ITA All-American tournament after impressive performances throughout the weekend.
 
Johnson started the weekend off hot, defeating No. 84 Kaitlyn McCarthy from Duke and Princeton’s Stephanie Schrage on Saturday.  The senior continued her win streak taking the match win against Martina Capurro Taborda of Oklahoma in straight sets on Sunday, 6-3, 6-2.
 
Freshman Anna Loughlan joined Johnson in the doubles round of 16. The pair dropped the match against Wake Forest’s No. 59 Eliza Omirou and Anna Brylin, 8-2.
 
Johnson will be joined by senior No. 64 Jessica Golovin in the qualifying round of singles to represent LSU beginning on Tuesday.
