Bhatnagar to Open ITA All-American Tournament

TULSA, Okla. – LSU men’s tennis sophomore Malik Bhatnagar will compete in the qualifying singles rounds of the ITA All-American Tournament October 1-3 at the Case Tennis Center.

Senior Shane Monroe will join Bhatnagar on Thursday, October 4, in the main draw of singles play.

“The ITA All-American Tournament is one of the biggest college tennis tournaments,” co-head coach Chris Brandi said. “Malik and Shane will have a great opportunity to play some of the best players out there and find out what we need to continue to work on.”

First serve for Bhatnagar is at 10:30 a.m. CST Monday. He will square off against Wichita State’s Marius Frosa.

Last weekend, Bhatnagar competed at the John Breaux Cajun Classic and earned his first singles victories in the Purple and Gold. Monroe also competed in Lafayette, Louisiana, and recorded a singles win as well.
