Women's Golf Travels To Nashville

Baton Rouge, La. – A quintet of LSU women’s golfers will head to The Volunteer State this weekend to compete in the three-day Mason Rudolph Championship. The tournament begins Friday, September 21 and wraps up on Sunday, September 23. It will be played at the Vanderbilt Legends Club located in Franklin, Tennessee.

Kathleen Gallagher, Monica Dibildox, Alden Wallace, Kendall Griffin and Rivani Sihotang make up the group of Lady Tigers set to compete this weekend. This is the second tournament of the year for LSU. Earlier this month LSU competed in the Cougar Classic, where Gallagher, a senior, led the team with a score of 2-over in the rain-shortened event.

The Vanderbilt Legends Club plays as a par 72 with a distance of 6,430 yards. LSU has some previous success at the course. LSU finished tied for fourth place in 2015 and won the tournament in 2010. This weekend, LSU will compete in a 15-team field that includes No. 10 Arizona State, No. 17 Wake Forest, No. 18 Michigan State, No. 21 Auburn, No. 22 Clemson and No. 25 Vanderbilt.

Each of the three rounds will begin at 8:30 a.m. CT with fixed tee times on holes No. 1 and No. 10. LSU is scheduled to tee off with Wake Forest and Chattanooga at 9:50 a.m. from No. 10. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
