BATON ROUGE – The Southeastern Conference unveiled the television networks and start times for its 2018-19 men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday, allowing LSU to complete the final part of the scheduling puzzle for the upcoming season.
All 18 conference contests (home and away) and six additional non-conference games (Memphis, Incarnate Word at home, St. Mary’s in Las Vegas and the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando) will be available on the ESPN family of networks (SEC Network, ESPN/2/U) and the ESPN App, which is available on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices from fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
Season ticket information for the 2018-19 season is available at www.LSUtix.net.
LSU will tip off its conference play at home in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Jan. 8 against Alabama at 8 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. That will be the first of six straight contests on the league network. In all, LSU will play a minimum of 11 times on the SEC Network including the Memphis game on Nov. 13 (6 p.m.), vs. Incarnate Word on Sunday, Dec. 9 (1 p.m.), and the final game of the 2019 conference schedule on March 9 at home against Vanderbilt (7:30 p.m.).
The remaining seven non-conference home games not selected by one of the networks will be streamed online on the SEC+ package starting with the LSU-Southeastern Louisiana game on Nov. 6. That date will be a doubleheader with the LSU women’s team with the men’s game tipping at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The SEC is coming off another successful season as 10 teams, including LSU, advanced to post-season play in 2018. The league posted its best regular-season non-conference winning percentage (77.4 percent) in more than a decade.
The SEC Tournament returns to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., March 13-17, 2019.
Here is the complete schedule with broadcasting entities for 2018-19 for the LSU Tigers. Remember all games will be broadcast as well on the LSU Sports Radio Network with the Voice of the Tigers Chris Blair and former LSU basketball head coach John Brady returning for their second season together on the broadcasts.
