HANAHAN, S.C. – The 2018 Cougar Classic hosted by the College of Charleston was shortened to two rounds on Monday due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Florence along the east coast. LSU finished the 36-hole tournament with senior Kathleen Gallagher as the squad’s top finisher.
Gallagher shot 2-over 146 to finish in a tie for 36th place overall. She shot a 74 in the first round that finished up on Monday morning following yesterday’s weather delay. The Greenwood, Mississippi native shot par in the second round to close the gap with the tournament leaders.
Preseason No. 12 Florida won the tournament at 30-under. The Tigers will return to action on Friday, September 21 in the first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee.
