Soccer to Have Three Matches on Television in 2018

Baton Rouge, La. – Three contests from the 18-match schedule for LSU soccer have been chosen for television; two will appear on the ESPN networks and the third one will be shown on Cox Sports Television.

The first home match of the season to be televised will be on Sunday, Sept. 9, against Samford at 4 p.m. CT. ESPNU will have the coverage for the Sunday afternoon matinee. The second home match of the season to be televised will be a matchup with Ole Miss on Oct. 11. SEC Network will carry the broadcast on that Thursday evening (6 p.m. CT) towards the latter part of the SEC schedule.

The only road contest scheduled to be televised will be the Sept. 4 road trip to Beaumont, Texas, for a showdown against Lamar. That match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT and will be shown on Cox Sports Television. LSU’s season begins on Sunday (Aug. 19) at 1 p.m. with a the second matchup in program history against Villanova.
