BATON ROUGE, La. – Eight student-athletes will receive LSU degrees today, as the University conducts its summer commencement ceremonies at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Among the class are football student-athlete Justin McMillan and track & field star Michael Cherry. McMillan, who completed his bachelor’s program in three years, also reports for the 2018 start of football camp today as one of the Tigers’ quarterbacks and will begin his graduate studies in the Fall semester. Cherry was a two-time national champion and eight-time All-American for the Tigers in 2016 and 2017. He completed his undergraduate studies this year while competing in his first season on the professional track circuit.
