BATON ROUGE – The LSU Softball team will be well represented at next week’s USA International Softball Cup. Six Tigers will compete on various teams that will be nationally televised and stream live across the country. Hosted by USA Softball of Southern California, the USA Softball International Cup will be held July 9-15 at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, Calif.
LSU Assistant coach Howard Dobson will be assisting with the USA Red team next week, which also features Sahvanna Jaquish, who was LSU’s volunteer assistant this past season and the program’s first four-time All-American. Carley Hoover, a two-time All-American for the Tigers, will compete for USA Blue, while A.J. Andrews and Bailey Landry will represent the Tigers on the Scrap Yard Fast Pitch team. Current Tiger Shemiah Sanchez will play for the Puerto Rico national team next week.
