Beach Ranked No. 8 For Fourth Straight Week

BATON ROUGE – After finishing runner-up at the CCSA Tournament this weekend, the LSU beach volleyball team was ranked No. 8 in the country for the fourth straight week by AVCA and DiG Magazine, announced Monday.

This is the 19th-straight week that LSU has been ranked in the top-10 of the AVCA poll, dating back to last season. The Tigers went 3-1 in pool play at the CCSA Tournament. LSU defeated South Carolina, 4-1, in the Semi-Finals Sunday morning before falling to Florida State in the championship match. Claire Coppola and Kristen Nuss were named the All-Tournament team.

On Sunday, April 29, the NCAA will announce the eight teams selected for the NCAA Championships May 4-6 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The top-three teams in the east and the top-three teams in the west will receive a bid plus there will be two at-large bids.
