Gymnastics Returns Home for Sunday Meet

BATON ROUGE – The fourth-ranked LSU gymnastics team (10-1, 4-0 SEC), fresh off its highest team score this season, will return to the Maravich Center to take on Texas Woman’s at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Tigers and TWU meet will be streamed live through SEC Network+ on and the app. Lyn Rollins (play-by-play), Lori Strong-Ballard (analyst) and Ashley Lee (analyst) will have the call on Sunday afternoon.

Last Time Out
The squad traveled to Missouri and defeated No. 8 Arkansas, No. 20 Missouri and No. 21 George Washington with a season-high score of 198.075. It marked the fifth-highest score in school history and the Tigers became the third team in 2018 to exceed the 198 mark.

Junior Sarah Finnegan led the way with wins in the all-around, bars and beam. Finnegan set a new career high with a 39.775 and tied her career best with a 9.975 on beam. Senior Myia Hambrick captured the vault title with a 9.925 and floor title with a 9.975. Hambrick is the top performer in the nation on floor and owns a 9.95 or higher in all seven meets this season.

Buy Tickets Before Sunday
Fans who have not purchased tickets yet are encouraged to buy ahead. Tickets for the meet are available at or at the ticket office on the second level of the PMAC.

Arrive Early
The matchup is the annual Pink and Blue Meet for prostate and breast cancer awareness. The first 1,000 fans inside the doors of the PMAC will receive a pink or blue t-shirt. There will also be thousands of pink and blue pom poms on seats. Doors for students open at 12:45 p.m. and for the public at 1 p.m.

Home Arena Advantage at Play for the Tigers
LSU has gone undefeated inside the Maravich Center for four-straight seasons. The Tigers’ current record since the 2014 season stands at 31-0. During that stretch, LSU has beaten No. 7/9 Alabama, No. 14 Auburn, No. 2/3 Florida, No. 9 Georgia, No. 16 Minnesota, No. 6 Kentucky and No. 1 Oklahoma. The last loss in the Maravich Center came to Alabama in 2013.
