BATON ROUGE, La. — Tickets are on sale now for An Evening With Tiger Baseball Legends on January 10 at the L’Auberge Event Center in Baton Rouge. All proceeds benefit the Mikie Mahtook Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and prevention of heart disease, as well as other charitable causes.
The foundation was established in 2014 by Detroit Tigers outfielder and LSU College World Series Champion Mikie Mahtook in honor of his father, Michael, who died of heart disease at the age of 32 when Mikie was just four years old.
In addition to Mikie Mahtook, a first-team All-American and first-round draft choice at LSU, the January 10 event will feature LSU national championship coaches Skip Bertman and Paul Mainieri, along current and former LSU Major Leaguers DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Nola, Kevin Gausman, Will Harris, Todd Walker, Ryan Theriot and Mike Fontenot.
The Tiger greats will relive the stories of their playing and coaching days at LSU, in the College World Series and in the MLB World Series.
The event begins with a VIP reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the banquet program at 7:30 p.m. The evening includes live and silent auctions, along with fellowship and fun.
