LSU guard Tremont Waters Named All-Tourney at Maui

LAHAINA, Maui, Hawaii – LSU freshman Tremont Waters was named to the Maui Jim Maui Invitational All-Tournament team announced following the championship game of the 2017 event.

Waters averaged 22.7 points per game with 22 FGs, 10 treys, 14-17 FTs and he averaged 4.0 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game.

Highlighting Waters tournament was his 39 points against Marquette in the third place game on Wednesday. Waters set an LSU Maui record topping the 26 scored by Duane Spencer against Iowa in the 1996 edition, while scoring the fourth most points in a game in the tournament’s log history. He was four points off the 43 scored by Adam Morrison of Gonzaga in 2005.
