'LSU Sixty' Debuts Sunday at 6 p.m. CT
BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU Sixty, a program highlighting events and topics involving the athletic department, will make its 2017 debut at 6 p.m. CT Sunday on the LSU Sports Radio Network.
The one-hour show, hosted by Bill Franques, is a weekly production containing football game recaps and interviews with LSU personalities. The show will air each Sunday through December 3, and it may be heard statewide on affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network, including Talk 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge.
LSU Sixty is also streamed free each week on the Official Web Site of LSU Athletics, www.LSUsports.net/live.
Sunday’s debut show features an interview with LSU legend Dr. Billy Cannon, the 1959 Heisman Trophy winner and 2010 LSU Alumnus of the Year. Earlier this month, the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame Committee unanimously approved a resolution that a statue of Cannon be erected on campus.
LSU 60 correspondent Jeff Palermo will talk with first-year football offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who will work as the Tigers’ play-caller for the first time when LSU meets BYU at 8:30 p.m. CT next Saturday in Houston.
The show also includes visits with athletic communications director Michael Bonnette, who discusses LSU’s preparation for the BYU game, and the “Voice of the Tigers,” Chris Blair, who outlines details of the football radio broadcasts for this season.
