BATON ROUGE – The LSU football team closed the 2016 regular season ranked in both of the major national polls on Sunday as the Tigers were ranked No. 21 in the Amway Coaches and Associated Press Top 25.

LSU, bowl eligible for the 17th consecutive season, earned a big, 54-39 win over the Texas A&M Aggies on Thanksgiving last Thursday night in College Station, extending the team’s winning over the Aggies to six-straight. The win improved LSU’s record to 7-4 on the season and 5-3 in the SEC.

The Tigers will learn of their bowl destination next Sunday afternoon.
