Football No. 16 in CFP Rankings

BATON ROUGE – For the third consecutive week the LSU football team remains in the College Football Playoff Rankings, moving up to No. 16 in Tuesday night’s latest release.

LSU has now been ranked in the College Football Playoff Ranking 13 out of a possible 16 total weeks over the course of the last three seasons.

The Tigers (6-3, 4-2 SEC) are coming off of a 38-10 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks last weekend, and will have their third consecutive meeting with a fellow ranked opponent this weekend in the Florida Gators who come in ranked at No. 23.

In the month of November alone LSU has already faced the No. 1 team in Alabama and the Razorbacks last week who were ranked No. 25. With two weeks remaining in the regular season, LSU could face four as Texas A&M is ranked 25th this week with a Thanksgiving showdown scheduled next week.

LSU’s only three losses this season, all to CFP ranked teams in Alabama, Wisconsin and Auburn in the top 15, have come by a combined 17 points.

Kickoff against the Gators is set for Noon CT in Tiger Stadium. The game will be televised live on the SEC Network.
