Volleyball Cancels Weekend's Events

BATON ROUGE – Due to the devastating flooding affecting many in south Louisiana, LSU volleyball has cancelled the kid’s clinic, Purple & Gold scrimmage and Bump up the Jam originally scheduled for this weekend.

The Tigers continue to prepare for the 2016 season under the direction of head coach Fran Flory. LSU opens competition at the Duke Invite Aug. 26-27 in Durham, North Carolina.

Over the last week, LSU has served the community between practices. On Sunday, the team volunteered at the shelter at Celtic Studios. Many of the players and entire coaching staff traveled to Walker to assist Dennis and Denise Denicola remove furniture, sheetrock and carpet at their home Wednesday afternoon.
