Women's Golf Wraps Up Play at ANNIKA

ORLANDO, Fla. – The LSU women’s golf team posted a final round of 9-over par 297 Tuesday to finish the 2015 edition of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at 16-over par 880 to finish in 11th place.

Southern California posted a round of 7-under 281 on the final day to finish 36-holes a strong 36-under par 828 (276-271-281) to win by 23 shots over Arizona with Arkansas in third three more shots back.

LSU posted rounds of 291, 292 and 297 in its second tournament of the fall schedule.

The individual winner of the tournament was Karen Chung of Southern California who posted 12-under 204 with three identical rounds of 68. Two shots back in second was teammate Robynn Ree at 10-under 206 (68, 66, 72).

LSU senior Nadine Dreher and junior Caroline Nistrup led the Lady Tigers on the final day with 1-over 73s, with senior Elise Bradley at 74 and freshman Kathleen Gallagher at 5-over 77.

Dreher finished at 1-over 217 for the tournament and in a tie for 28th spot, with Bradley at 3-over 219 (T34) and Gallagher (T38) at 4-over 220.

LSU will be back in action beginning Friday, Oct. 9, at a familiar location, the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
