Scivicque Named SEC Co-Player of the Week

BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU senior catcher Kade Scivicque earned Southeastern Conference Co-Player of the Week recognition Monday from the league office. Scivicque shared the honor with Buddy Reed of Florida.

Scivicque, a native of Maurepas, La., batted .545 (6-for-11) last week as the Tigers posted three wins in four games. He collected one double, two homers, four RBI, five runs, a 1.182 slugging percentage and a .538 on-base percentage.

In LSU’s three-game sweep last weekend over Boston College, Scivicque hit .667 (4-for-6) with two homers, four RBI and five runs. He was 3-for-4 with two homers, three RBI and three runs in the Tigers’ 16-2 win over BC on Saturday, and the effort marked the first multi-homer game of Scivicque’s career.

On the year, Scivicque is hitting a team-best .500 (9-for-18) with one double, three homers, seven RBI and seven runs.
