Women's Tennis Finishes Road Weekend at NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. — The No. 37 LSU women’s tennis team (5-2) continues its weekend against No. 69 North Carolina State on Sunday at 10 a.m. CT at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Complex.

“We are excited to get back on the court against a good NC State team to improve and redeem ourselves from yesterday’s match,” head coach Julia S. Sell said. “We will continue to build and actively pursue our team goals. We will be ready to battle tomorrow.”

The Lady Tigers are coming off of a heartbreaking loss to Wake Forest. LSU got out to a 3-1 lead after taking the doubles courts but ultimately lost 4-3.

No. 87 Skylar Kuykendall improved to 6-1 on the year. Kuykendall is undefeated on courts two and three this season.

Ella Taylor is also 6-1 on the year after a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 win on court five. Taylor is also undefeated on courts four and five this season.

The doubles team of Kuykendall and Abby Owens, ranked 60th in the country, picked up a win along with the team of Joana Vale Costa and Noel Scott.
