Sthamann Wins 3-Meter at LSU Diving Invitiational
BATON ROUGE, La. — Freshman Madison Sthamann collected her second win of the season on three-meter with a career-high score of 294.55 on the first day of the LSU Diving Invite.
Senior Daniel Helm finished second in the men’s one-meter competition with a score of 319.50. Andrew Suchla also finished fourth with a score of 308.25.
Junior Allie Alter followed Sthamann in third place on the women’s side with a score of 274.75. Sophomore Katie Lagarde also finished seventh with a score of 238.30.
All five divers will return to the pool tomorrow morning for day two of competition. The women will compete on one-meter and the men will compete on three-meter beginning at 11 a.m.
The remainder of the team kicks off competition tomorrow morning in Columbus, Ohio for the USA Winter Diving Championships. Alex Bettridge and Cassie Weil take the board for the semifinal and final of one-meter.
