Bradley to Play for LWGA Amateur Title

ALEXANDRIA, La. – LSU women’s golfer Elise Bradley won two matches on Tuesday and will play for the Louisiana Women’s Golf Association state amateur crown Wednesday at Oak Wing Golf Club.

Bradley, from Mandeville who will be a junior on the LSU team this fall, won her morning match against Julie Harrison, 6 and 5, and then was able to win early in the afternoon match against Julia Johnson, also 6 and 5.

The championship match will involve the top two seeds in the competition as she will face qualifying medalist Kay Daniel of Covington. Daniel shot 72 in qualifying and Bradley posted a 74 to earn byes to today’s quarterfinals and eventually the semifinals.

Bradley will be going for her third title in five years, having won the championship in 2010 and 2012.

The match is set to begin at 9:40 a.m.
