Men's Tennis Set for SEC Tournament Opener

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The LSU men’s tennis team will face Arkansas in the first round of the 2014 SEC tournament on Wednesday in Nashville at 11 a.m. CT.

LSU (12-13, 2-10) fell 4-1 to the Razorbacks (13-15, 3-9) on Saturday in Fayetteville at Billingsley Tennis Center. LSU is the No. 13 seed in the tournament while Arkansas is No. 12. The winner of the first round match will face No. 5 Mississippi State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

LSU is ranked No. 55 as a team, and junior Chris Simpson is No. 84 in singles. LSU has two doubles teams in the rankings with Simpson and sophomore Boris Arias ranked at 21 and sophomore Tam Trinh and redshirt Freshman Eric Perez are No. 75.
