Women's Tennis Set to Face No. 7 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 57 LSU women’s tennis team will face No. 7 Texas A&M on Sunday at noon CT in College Station, Texas.

The Lady Tigers are 8-6 (1-4 SEC) on the season after defeating Missouri 6-1 on Friday.  Texas A&M is currently 10-3 (4-1 SEC) on the season.

“Being No. 7 in the country right now means they have already proven that they are a top team,” said LSU head coach Julia S. Sell.  “They went to the Finals of the NCAA tournament last year, so they have that combination of talent and experience.”

Texas A&M leads the series 23-13 after the Aggies topped the Lady Tigers 7-0 in their last meeting on March 15, 2013.
