BATON ROUGE – The No. 41 LSU women’s tennis team is set to square off against No. 20 Auburn on Sunday, March 9 at noon CT in W.T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium.
LSU is 7-5 (0-3 SEC) after dropping a 4-0 decision to No. 4 Alabama on Friday. Three of the Lady Tigers’ five losses have come against Top 10 teams, with the other two occurring against Top 35 teams. Auburn is currently 13-2 (3-0 SEC).
“Auburn is a great team and they compete really well” said LSU head coach Julia Sell. “They had a breakout year last year. They have a lot of new players, but they have proven themselves time and time again.”
LSU currently leads the series against Auburn 26-11. The two teams last met on March 8, 2013 as Auburn topped LSU 7-0.
