NCAA Baseball Regional Returns to Alex Box Stadium

Pairings and LSU’s Game Time to be determined Monday

BATON ROUGE — LSU (43-16) has been designated as an NCAA Baseball Regional host site, the NCAA Baseball Selection Committee announced Sunday.

The NCAA Baton Rouge Regional begins Friday afternoon in Alex Box Stadium. LSU, which won its 15th Southeastern Conference title in 2012, is playing host to a regional for the 20th time in school history.

The entire 64-team bracket and the teams joining LSU in the four-team regional will be announced at 11 a.m. CT Monday on ESPNU.

Tickets for the regional are available now to LSU baseball season ticket holders.

Regional tickets will remain on sale to season ticket holders until 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Regional ticket booklets, good for all seven games, are $100 (suites and Champion’s Club), $75 (gold field box, gold grandstand and grandstand) and $50 (bleachers and standing room only).

Season ticket holders who have already submitted their requests in advance will have their credit card automatically charged for their tickets.  Fans who selected the mail option will have their tickets shipped on Tuesday. Fans who selected the will-call option will be able to pick up their tickets beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday at the LSU Ticket Office. 

Regional tickets not purchased by season ticket holders by 5 p.m. Tuesday will go on sale to the general public at 8 a.m. Thursday. A limited number of bleacher seats and standing-room only booklets will also go on sale Thursday.  There will be a limit of four tickets per account.

Individual-session tickets, if available, will go on sale Friday.
