LSU Volleyball Update from Abroad

BATON ROUGE – Former LSU volleyball standouts Brittnee Coooper, Lauren DeGirolamo and Regan Hood are continuing their careers in various international professional leagues.

Brittnee Cooper (2006-09)
Hola Tiger Fans,
My team has currently advanced to the semifinals in the Puerto Rican Professional League. We’re super excited and ready to play. Our first game will be on Thursday. The semifinals are a best of seven series and the winner advances to the finals. Our coach has talked about all season one of our goals being to make the finals so we’re going to take it one game at a time.

Lauren DeGirolamo (2006-09)
Hi Tiger Fans,
We finished our season last Saturday by winning the Montenegro Championship. It was a best of five series against our in-town rivals Luka Bar, who has been our toughest competition all year. After three long and difficult matches, we beat them 3-0 to take the cup in the fourth and final match. That night I learned how to celebrate Montenegro style, and it was a lot of fun! I’m super proud of my team and excited that I could help them achieve our goals for the season.

Regan Hood (2001-04)
I’m playing professionally for ASPTT Mulhouse in France. My team won the semifinal series last Saturday to make it to the finals. We play best a three series starting Saturday against Racing Club Cannes.
