BATON ROUGE – LSU Volleyball’s Madie Jones and Meghan Mannari took time out of their busy schedules to visit students at Delmont Elementary School in Baton Rouge Thursday.
Jones and Mannari read stories to Delmont’s kindergarten and pre-k classes.  Jones said she thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the students.
“The best part of today was getting to see how happy the kids were to see us and how much fun they had listening to us read,” Jones said. “We could really see the impact we made just by reading them a couple of stories.”
LSU returns 11 letterwinners from a team that turned in a 25-5 last season and claimed its sixth straight SEC Western Division crown. The Tigers also are one of only 18 programs nationally to qualify for the last six NCAA Tournaments dating back to the 2005 season.
