Tennis' Borsos Falls in Final at ULL

LAFAYETTE, La. – LSU men’s tennis sophomore Olivier Borsos was unable to continue his weekend success as he fell in the flight A singles final at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Invitational on Sunday at Cajun Courts.

After taking a tough two-hour first set 7-6, Borsos was unable to overcome UL-Lafayette’s Yanick Mandl, dropping the final two sets 1-6, 0-6.

“It was a solid start to the season,” said assistant coach Danny Bryan. “Olivier (Borsos) had a good tournament, and we are looking forward to next week as the team continues to improve.”

As the fall tournament season continues, the Tigers will head to Athens, Ga., for the Southern Intercollegiate Championships Sept. 24-26 at the University of Georgia’s Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
