Tennis Skupski Named to All-SEC Team

BATON ROUGE – Tiger sophomore Neal Skupski was named to the All-Southeastern Conference Second Team for the second-straight year as voted on by conference coaches and announced by the league office on Thursday.

Skupski led the Tigers in dual action at the top court with a 7-11 record and a 5-6 mark against SEC opponents. The standout sophomore’s season in the ITA Rankings peaked at No. 26 in preseason polls, and currently, Skupski lists at No. 51.

“Neal did an excellent job of raising the bar by moving from the No. 4 position last year to being at the top of lineup now,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “Neal has had several wins at the highest level this year, and he only continues to improve.”

In addition to stellar performances in singles, the Liverpool, England, native continued an impressive campaign in doubles during 2010.
