Tennis' Kantor Named to SEC Service Team
BATON ROUGE — Senior Nicole Kantor of the LSU women’s tennis team was named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team the league announced Wednesday.
Kantor, a St. Louis, Mo., native, currently serves on the Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) as the women’s tennis representative. She assisted in LSU’s annual Halloween BOOzar where she set up and spearheaded the women’s tennis activity.
She also participated in the Christmas with the Tigers Toy Drive where she and the women’s tennis team raised money to buy a bike and some clothes for an underprivileged girl and then presented those gifts to the little girl at a program held on LSU’s campus.
Kantor also actively volunteers with the local St. Vincent de Paul Shelter where she puts together brown-bag dinners for the women who visit the shelter.
This season marks the second consecutive year in which Kantor has earned the award.
