Tennis' Skupski Ranked in Singles, Doubles

BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s tennis sophomore Neal Skupski posted at No. 52 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings and listed at both No. 55 and No. 70 in doubles polls released Tuesday by the ITA.
Skupski owns an overall 17-17 record and posts a 7-10 record at the top court. Checking in at No. 55 with junior Sebastian Carlsson, the Liverpool, England, native is 4-2 with a 2-2 record against nationally-ranked opponents.
Skupski listed at No. 70 with freshman Roger Anderson. The pair owns a 5-8 dual-action record and a 1-4 mark versus nationally-ranked duos.
Carlsson jumped back onto the singles list after a brief hiatus to No. 121. In singles, the Uppsala, Sweden, native holds his best record at court No. 3 at 6-1 record and is 19-16 overall. Carlsson rides a four-match win streak heading into tournament action.
Skupski, Carlsson and Anderson return to action at the Southeastern Conference Tournament in LSU’s first-round match against Alabama. The ninth-seeded Tigers will face the eighth-seeded Crimson Tide on Thursday at 5 p.m. CT in Lexington, Ky. at the Hillary J. Boone Tennis Complex.
