Dallas Star Ross-Miller Signs with Men's Basketball

BATON ROUGE — The LSU Athletics Department received late Wednesday and approved Thursday the signed national letter of intent papers from men’s basketball recruit K.C. Ross-Miller, of Dallas, Texas.

Ross-Miller, a 6-0, 170-pound guard, attended God’s Academy which won the 2009 National Christian School Athletic Association Championship and the 2009 and 2010 National Prep Alliance Championship.

“He is a very good point guard with the ability to make other players better,” said LSU Coach Trent Johnson. “He fits in very well with our other additions to the program from the fall signing period in that he has good basketball skills and is a person of good character.”

Ross-Miller averaged 26.0 points per game this past year, while also posting averages of 10.8 assists per game, 3.0 rebounds and 6.6 steals per game.  During the2008-09 season, he averaged 19.7 points a game, 10.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 7.2 steals per contest.

He was coached at God’s Academy by his father, Tim Miller.

LSU signed four players in the fall signing period last November: Jackson, Miss., guard Andre Stringer (Forest Park High School) and forward Jalen Courtney (Provine High School); Muscle Shoals, Ala., guard Ralston Turner (Muscle Shoals High School); and, Metairie, La., forward Matt Derenbecker (Metairie Park Country Day).
