Men's Tennis Set to Host No. 11 Kentucky

BATON ROUGE– The LSU men’s tennis team will host 11th-ranked Kentucky in W. T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium on Friday at 3 p.m. CT. 
LSU (5-12, 2-6 SEC) is looking to end its five-match skid and advance its conference record against heavyweight Kentucky at 15-7 in dual action with a 5-3 SEC record.
The Tigers feature sophomore Neal Skupski on the top court at No. 34 in the nation with a 6-7 record. For Kentucky, sophomores Eric Quiqley and Alex Musialek post at No. 13 and No. 44, respectively. Quigley and junior Brad Cox list in the doubles rankings for Kentucky as the No. 13 duo. 
Kentucky has won its last two matches against No. 13 Illinois, 4-3, and Murray State, 5-1. The last match the Wildcats dropped was to conference opponent Florida, 4-3, on April 4.
LSU leads Kentucky in the all-time record 30-12, but it was the Wildcats that took the last meeting in 2009, 7-0, in Lexington, Ky.
The match will kick off LSU’s final home stretch as the Tigers wind down action in the “Dub.”  After the contest with Kentucky, the only matches remaining for the 2010 home season will be Vanderbilt on April 11 and South Florida on April 13. Admission to all home tennis matches is free.
