Academic Center Launches New Website

BATON ROUGE ? The Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes [CCACSA] also launched its redesigned website,, on Monday. The project was completed by Information Technology Manager Richard Capone and Executive Director Kenneth O. Miles.

“Our new website is one of the first steps in developing our strategic IT initiative,” Miles said. “I can’t express how excited we are to have a website that reflects who we are, what we do, and more importantly where we are going. This information is paramount as we implement and assess best practices in an effort to preserve our vision of being the premiere student-athlete support services unit in the country.”

At the core of the Center’s website redesign is information that assists in making the life of approximately 500 LSU’s student-athletes easier.

Important information has been provided by Director of Academic Affairs Dr. Mary Boudreaux, Director of Student Affairs Mr. Mike Mallet and Technology Services headed by Capone on the site. Collectively, the three units provide an all inclusive student-centered support structure for all student-athletes from matriculation through graduation and life beyond.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of the new and improved face of CCACSA,” Capone said. “Aesthetic improvements aside, the website offers a wealth of new and exciting features. It serves as a platform of engagement through dynamic content. While quite pleased with the capabilities this gives us today, I’m more excited looking forward to using this medium to push the boundaries of student-athlete academic services in our rise to national prominence.”
