BATON ROUGE — Leading up to Friday’s NCAA Volleyball Tournament at the Maravich Center, LSUsports.net will profile each of the visiting schools. Take a look at the field, and get all-session tickets for the tournament games in Baton Rouge today.

NCAA Tournament Notes:
The Green Wave are making their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and their second NCAA appearance overall.

Tulane enters the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional with an 18-9 overall record and a 12-4 mark in Conference USA. The Green Wave was eliminated in the semifinals of the C-USA Tournament and received an at-large bid into the Field of 64.

The Green Wave have faced regional-host LSU twice already this season, splitting decisions with the Tigers with a 3-0 loss on Sept. 5 followed by a 3-1 victory on Sept. 11. Tulane also faced fellow NCAA Baton Rouge Regional participant Arizona at the Arizona Invitational. The Green Wave was swept by the Wildcats in Tuscan.

First-year head coach Sinisa Momic will look to C-USA Co-Player of the Year Visnja Djurdjevic, a sophomore outside hitter, to lead the Green Wave this postseason. Djurdjevic led Conference USA in points per set with 4.84. She also was second in the league with 4.33 kills per set.

Senior setter Rachel Lindelow, an All-Conference USA Second-Team selection, leads Tulane with 10.93 assists per set, a mark that ranks third in C-USA. Junior middle blocker Lindsey Shepard leads the team in blocks with 0.97 per set. She also is a member of the C-USA All-Academic team.
