NCAA Woman of the Year Banquet to Air on ESPN2

BATON ROUGE ? Former LSU gymnast Ashleigh Clare-Kearney became the university’s first NCAA Woman of the Year finalist in October, and fans will have the opportunity to see the awards banquet as it will air on ESPN2 Friday from 4 to 4:30 p.m. CST.
ESPN2 will feature the awards banquet and celebration and will also feature the 30 semifinalists ? 10 student-athletes from each division.
Clare-Kearney was one of nine finalists for the award that was given to Arizona swimmer Lacey Nymeyer.
Clare-Kearney finished her career as a Tiger by winning two national titles on vault and floor at the NCAA Championships in Lincoln, Neb., in April.
The NCAA Woman of the Year award honors senior student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.
