Dorsey, LSU Featured on SI, Sporting News Covers

BATON ROUGE — LSU’s 2007 BCS Championship football team is featured this week on the cover of two national magazines.

Senior defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey is pictured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The magazine, which has the headline “Tiger Nation Roars: LSU Mauls Ohio State 38-24” will be on sale tomorrow at newsstands across the nation.

Senior linebacker Ali Highsmith appears on the cover of this week’s Sporting News, also available at newsstands tomorrow. Highsmith is pictured the jarring the ball loose from Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman in the fourth quarter of the BCS National Championship Game.

LSU athletes have appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated 14 times over the past 40 years. Below is a listing of Tigers who have graced SI’s cover:
