Temple Scores 11 in Reach USA Win

BATON ROUGE — LSU’s Garrett Temple, after sitting out a game Thursday with a bruised knee, had his best game of the Reach USA Tour Friday as he helped the American all-stars stop a two-game losing streak and defeat Zhe Jiang, 85-71, for its fifth win in seven games.

One final game remains on the tour on Saturday before the all-stars return home to the United States.

The Americans lost Zhe Jiang by scores of 79-76 and 67-63 before getting the win on Friday. Temple failed to score in the 79-76 win and sat out the Thursday game with a bruised knee. He returned to score 11 points on 5-of-12 field goal shooting, including one three pointer with no turnovers.
