TEMPE, Ariz. — After a three hour charter flight from Baton Rouge to Phoenix, including a fuel stop in Abilene, Texas, the LSU softball team arrived in Tempe, Ariz., in preparation for its NCAA Super Regional match-up with Arizona State this weekend.
The Tigers, winners of the NCAA Palo Alto Regional and seeded 10th nationally, arrived at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 5:10 p.m. (CT) before bussing the remaining 15 minutes to Tempe. LSU is being housed at the Courtyard Tempe Downtown on South Ash Avenue.
After checking into the hotel and grabbing a bite for dinner, the team will practice on Wednesday evening at 9 p.m. (CT). The Tigers will go through official practice on Thursday at Farrington Stadium at 3:45 p.m. (CT).
LSU will take on the Sun Devils in the best of three series beginning on Friday at 9 p.m. (CT). The pair will meet again on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. (CT) with a third game to follow at 9 p.m. (CT) if necessary.
