Miles, Russell to Appear on ESPN's Cold Pizza

BATON ROUGE — LSU football coach Les Miles and quarterback JaMarcus Russell will be featured on ESPN’s Cold Pizza on Monday morning between 10:30 and 11 a.m. CT.

Cold Pizza airs each weekday on ESPN2 from 9 to 11 a.m. The show can be seen in the Baton Rouge area on Cox Cable channel 36.

Miles and Russell were interviewed on Sunday afternoon at the LSU Football Operations Center, a day following the Tigers’ 49-7 win over Tulane. Cold Pizza’s Dana Jacobson conducted the interview, which will be part of the show that will focus on the New Orleans Saints return to the Louisiana Superdome on Monday night.

The subject of the Miles and Russell interview dealt with LSU’s efforts in aiding in the recovery following Hurricane Katrina last fall. Russell housed 20 family and friends, including New Orleans music legend Fats Domino, in his two bedroom apartment during the days following the storm.

It was well documented last fall how Miles and the Tigers served as an inspiration and a diversion for the state of Louisiana following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
