Men's Basketball Receives Letter of Intent from Farrer
BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s basketball coach John Brady announced on Friday that the Tigers have received the signed letter of intent papers from Alex Farrer of Phoenix, Ariz.
Farrer, from Saint Mary’s High School in Phoenix, is a 6-5, 200-pounder shooting guard/small forward who will join the Tigers for the 2005-06 season. Farrer averaged 17.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and three blocked shots a game for St. Mary’s, a team that was 24-7 and lost in the Arizona Class 5A state championship game.
“We have received the papers on Alex Farrer and are excited that he is joining the LSU basketball program,” said Coach Brady. “He will give us added depth and shooting range on the perimeter. He is qualified, an outstanding student in the classroom and a very positive addition to the program. We look forward to having him join us for this coming season.”
Farrer is the sixth signee for the Tigers for the 2005-06 season.
