Lee Finishes Seventh in 200 at Olympic Games
ATHENS, Greece — Former Lady Tiger Muna Lee finished out of the medal count Wednesday at the 2004 Summer Games, finishing tied for seventh in the 200-meter dash final at Olympic Stadium.
Lee, running out of lane seven, clocked 22.87 to tie Great Britain’s Abiodun Oyepitan at the tape.
Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell won the gold with a personal best 22.05, while the United States’ Allyson Felix took home silver (22.18) and Debbie Ferguson of the Bahamas won the bronze (22.30).
Track and field action from Olympic Stadium will continue Thursday. Tiger senior Bennie Brazell will run in the finals of the 400-meter hurdles and former Tiger All-American John Moffitt will participate in the long jump finals.
