Soccer Team Reports to Campus Tuesday
BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s soccer team will report to campus on Tuesday to prepare for their ninth season.
The Tigers return seven starters and 17 lettermen from last year. LSU will begin the season versus Southeastern La. on Aug. 27 in Baton Rouge at 7 p.m. The team will have between 30-40 practices before their first game.
The Tigers will play their first four games of the season at home before going on the road to Ohio State and Colorado.
LSU features co-Head coaches this season after adding Danielle Fotopoulos, a former NCAA and World Cup champion, to its staff. George Fotopoulos enters his fifth season with the Tigers looking to improve on his 64-42-8 career record.
Fotopoulos signed seven newcomers in a recruiting class that is ranked 12th in the central region by Soccer Buzz Magazine, including Texas A&M transfer Holly Davis and U19 Canadian National Team member Caroline Vanderpool.
The season opener will be jersey night. Kids can wear their team jerseys and get in for $1.
